jars and jam and jam and jars

By the way, I hope to do some serious jam making this summer/fall, if I can luck into plums and quince and maybe raspberries.

I wish to let the universe know that I am accepting donations of jam/jelly canning jars (pints, half pints) (greater Seattle area only). I could give quart and 1/2 gallon jars a good home too. Especially if I manage to can pears again.

That is all.

I have a bunch of mason jars. I'm not sure if they're clean or not. I'll check when I get home (but that won't be for a few weeks). If they are you're obviously welcome to them.

I might have 4-5 jam sized jars that I'd be happy to send your way. Not sure if it's worth the effort. I bought a dozen quart jars for about $12 at QFC last year. Not free, but not expensive either.

If you don't want them, I'm happy to add them to my pile and involve them in jam making adventures. Speaking of, any word on quinces this year? Knowing what I'm doing should let me make (and share) more quince paste.

I'm mostly not using them, so I could pass them on. I'd have to excavate the cupboard first.

My folks are in town this weekend. I'll have to ask about quince and get back to you.

So what's the quince news? Or we could switch to e-mail (lotsofplants is still mine.)
