good things
Sep. 20th, 2005 12:38 pm- have a new roommate, will not need to move after all.
- I got my diploma in the mail today. You may all refer to me as "Master Plant". Offerings of food, money, backrubs can be placed before me at your convenience. ;)
- I pointed out to the landlord that the carpet could really use a professional cleaning. He opted to replace the carpet.
- while arranging paperwork for new roommate, the landlord also discovered that we have a larger deposit than he is normally asking now. Will refund me the excess (several hundred dollars.)
- having decided to reduce the number of plants I have (they really don't all fit), it is proving fairly easy to decide on the first crop to go. And I believe that craigslist/freecycle will provide me with easy plant gifting opportunities, as most of my friends have all the plants they can handle.
- was gifted a nice, newish flat panel monitor for my computer. Suddenly have excess desk space, and the picture is so crisp and lovely!
- reducing quantity of unused 'stuff' also proceeds apace. Am getting close to optimal quantities. (Though I keep saying that, and then finding another three boxes of extra stuff, so we'll see. My apartment isn't that big; I have to run out sometime.)
- sunny mornings and rainbows on my wall
- farmer's markets now have local crop asian pears! Mmmmm, asian pears.

Taking is optional, bringing may be helpful. Coming unladen is delightful as well.
