Took a nice long walk Sunday. Sun, lots of flowers, generally very pleasant. Saw a giant yellow and orange and black bumble bee, enjoyed the scent of wisteria, got slightly dehydrated. All in all, pretty good.

In back, my lily of the valley is blooming, pure white and fragrant. And my camas is sending up a flower stalk as well, which surprises me. Apparently the squirrel didn't dig quite far enought to eat the bulb? Or this was a side bulb the rodent missed? Either way, I'm happy to see it, and looking forward to the pretty blue flowers.

Keeping an eye on the weather forcast, trying to figure out when I can safely put my orchids outside. Soon, very soon, I think.

I've spend hours over the last few weeks squishing aphids. It only really gets to me when they're fat and they go SPLORT. So, yeah, it's getting better ... there's really something to that "make aphid soup and spray it on the plants" thing, then?

Yep. Aphid soup and also just squished aphids really do discourage other aphids. Makes sense to me, really. I'd not like to stick around pools of blood and body parts.
