I put some of my plants outside for the summer, because the ones that spent last summer outside were very happy about it. Also, I seem to have developed a thrips infestation, and was hopeful that reducing the number of plants indoors would help with elimination (no such luck).

The plants outside are pretty happy, though. Flowers on several Dendrobium and Phalaenopsis. My Oncidium 'Gower Ramsey' made a huge, wonderful flower spike, which something promptly ate. :( I suspect the same culprit for the two Phalaenopsis spikes which went missing (the other two spiking plants are back indoors for safety). A number of the Miltonidium Pupukea Sunset are also flowering, but that's no surprise, as I suspect they would happily flower in a closet. I am not sure if any of the Bulbophyllum have flowered or not. They're sort of in the back and tend to try to hide their flowers from me.

One of the plants, Dendrobium bigibbum, flowered for me for the first time. Woo! Unfortunately, something ate part of the flowers before I got a good picture. Stupid flower-eating herbivores.

My Hoya cutting decided it was old enough to flower. Two nice big clusters of furry pale pink star flowers, a plastic-looking white-and-red star in the center of each producing huge drips of nectar. Nice scent, but occasionally overpowering. I need to repot it and start training it on the little trellis.

Also finally got around to dividing my aloe. As soon as they root, I will have a number of starts to pawn off on unsuspecting victims...er, I mean, lucky recipients. Yeah. :)

Well, not really. But they are very easy-going little plants. So are most hybrid Phalaenopsis, for that matter (but don't tell anyone, because they're always impressed that I have these huge tropical flowers in bloom in my living room).
