scent memories

It's amazing how certain scents instantly trigger memories.

Instant pudding powder = camping, complete with a small (cold) running stream, various fir and pine trees, tents, and meadows.

I bet you didn't know they could fit all of that inside one of those little boxes, did you?

Like that, but different.

My association is similar, yet completely different. Instant pudding powder = pistachio flavoured (which I haven't been able to stand since this incident), shaken in a ziploc bag, which little Mimble didn't know should be held zip side up, on an RV lawn calling itself a camp site about a mile from Disneyland in the heart of L.A.

That's right, we CAMPED all the way to Disneyland. And I got pistachio pudding on my sweatshirt, a sensation I will never forget.

I'm adding you to my friends list. I'm not sure why I didn't sooner, perhaps never thought about it. This is Cow's Rob, btw.
