After having the experience of "do your cats have any behavior/excretory/etc problems" answered "no"...and then "oh, yeah, the cat did kill all my houseplants by eating them" and "he does tend to throw up every day" and "when they get urinary tract infections, they pee everywhere but I don't usually notice" I think I consider anything that doesn't live in a cage to be high-maintenance.
