general update

Drawback of not getting online so much: catching up on a week of livejournal leaves very little energy left for posting or commenting.

Plus of not getting online so much: job has been extended through February, might become permanent.

Christmas top gifts: crockpot (woot!) and a box of 10 old roman coins (still dirt encrusted) (woot!). I am looking forward to playing with both of them.

The giving of the chocolate fountains was not as exciting as anticipated, possibly due to the fact that H gave birth two days before and was a tad out of it. But my niece was happy with her Antelope puppet. Next I need to teach her to run though the house pretending to be an Antelope. :)

New Years party went well. More people than expected, less games than expected. Some people I thought would show didn't. The glass ball experiment was more interesting than successful. Further attempts will be made when weather cooperates by being warmer and not actively raining.

Yeah. She seemed slightly ruefull about the whole thing, and the other didn't seem to appreciate how funny it was. Mom and I both got a good laugh out of it, though.
