I suspect you'd get money for rent from a junk store the same way you do from a used book store. Some people just buy instead of trading stuff in, and people trade stuff in for a discount, rather than an even swap.

gement and I have been talking about the idea of junk swaps. Donno if it will go or not--the apartment is a little small for that sort of thing. Apparently the City of Seattle organizes junk swaps occasionally. But not very often and not convenient to here, unfortunatly.
